For those of you who know West Groton, the bit of white at the far end of the photo is the intersection of Route 225 and Hill Road.We saw quite a few of the neighbors on our trip to check out the water. Luckily, no one has any water damage in their homes; many have water in their yards (us included - some of ours is man-made since the hockey rink is still there), but no one we talked with had a flooded basement.
As you can see the water wasn't as high; and you could actually drive down Route 225; un-like now. Ryan has surely enjoyed the past two days he had off of school even though he had to spend them with me in my office. Thankfully for both of us, he was going to school today with stories in hand!Hopefully, by Monday everything will be back to normal! I am all for the coming April showers; because they will bring the May flowers...lets just hope that we don't get too many showers all at once, or we might once again discover that we live on the Island of West Groton!
